Invergarry Castle is a ruined tower house built on a rocky crag overlooking the outlet of the River Garry into Loch Oich in Lochaber. It is only visible from the access road to the Glengarry Castle Hotel, and is fenced off because of safety concerns. The castle was once a large L-plan tower, with a secondary tower in the angle between the blocks, and in one lochside corner of the hall block a round tower extended the full height of the tower. 18th century plans on the NLS website show a rather odd elevation and plan from when the castle was still intact.

Glengarry was Macdonald territory from the 15th century, and the branch of the clan here was descended from that of Moidart. They were closely involved in many of the feuds and wars of the 16th and 17th century, but there was no tower here until the very end of the 16th century at the earliest, and probably the mid 17th. The building was occupied for only about 100 years – it was burned down in 1654 and repaired, only to be sacked repeatedly during the Jacobite rebellions, never being repaired after 1746.
